When I write a book, I picture the moment someone tries to use what they have read. The example’s program worked, the explanation seemed clear, then a detail changes and doubt arrives. That is where I want to help. Mattone dopo Mattone grows from this wish: to accompany the reader when the page ends and the problem starts having ideas of its own.

Each brick should support the next

The name of the series expresses an approach to learning. Every new idea needs a foundation: a concrete question, understandable terms and an example whose result we can observe. We move forward when we can explain why a solution works, where it reaches its limits and how to adapt it when the situation changes.

Java, language models and development with artificial intelligence raise different questions. They share the same commitment: making the steps towards an answer visible. A book can then become a working companion, revisited when a doubt or a new experience changes our perspective.

  1. A question
  2. An explanation
  3. A check
  4. A new situation
The journey continues when what we have understood helps us beyond the example.

Why make them available for free?

I chose to make these books free because I want curiosity to get started without having to visit the checkout first. The work remains in the care taken with explanations, examples and checks. I like the idea that someone can open a volume, find an interesting question and decide to spend some time with it.

Downloading a volume is only the beginning. If a passage helps you, you can introduce the book to someone else. If an explanation leaves a question open, you can write to me: readers’ doubts help reveal what needs clarification. This, too, is a way to build knowledge together.

This blog continues the journey between books. It will host questions, examples and reflections that benefit from a shorter format. The invitation is simple: start with a problem you care about, seek an explanation and try to use it. One brick at a time.
